Congratulations!

Congratulations to Whitney França! After serving as the Assistant Director of International Student Services for the last two and a half years, she recently made the transition to Director of Education Abroad. In her new role, she assists students in making their study abroad dreams come true.

“I am excited to join such a diverse, passionate and talented team that is already doing such great things on the OU campus,” França said. “I also look forward to returning to my recruitment roots through this position – I spent over five years in International Recruitment. It is a great honor to get to play a role in the transformative experience of studying abroad for students across campus.”

França holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies from Oklahoma Baptist University and a post-graduate certificate in TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Oklahoma State University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Global Affairs at the University of Oklahoma. Whitney is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and has spent significant time studying abroad in Belize, Costa Rica, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Honduras, Japan, Malaysia, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan.
